23/06/2009, TuesdayToday we went to Vivo City to watch the monsters VS ailen movie, since it's 3D so we went there to watch. We were thinking of watching the movie with the free movie ticket but when we asked the person behind the counter, he said that we can't accept the ticket for 3D movie, too bad. When the person says the ticket was $10, Vanessa started to have second thoughts about watching the movie, we were going to watch land of the lost but she said she read some reviews and it wasn't a very good movie, for us it's free but for my sister she has to pay for it so we have to make a careful decision. We bought the ticket for the 3D movie in the end, I had to pay for Vanessa's share because if she use her own money to buy the ticket, she won't have enough money to buy dinner. The movie was nice, I love BOB when he's with Jelly-o and the part where he said she gave him a fake phone number, at the ending when he 'introduce' Jelly-o to derick and call him to get over it and also when he curse derick for two-timing him and susan.
After the movie Vanessa was very secretive about where we were going for dinner and she kept saying that it's very cheap and we can afford it. So we followed her and we went to CHANGI AIRPORT to eat, I was telling her "Changi Airport food's price is so expensive!" and she was saying it's very cheap AGAIN. So we were led to Breeks cafe at a very fast pace and Vanessa kept hurrying us because of the 5:30pm deal at there, we missed the deal but still went in to eat. Then we were calculating our financial situations and we got a total of $33.25 then Vanessa had to borrow some money from us cause she wanna eat the most expensive pasta on the pasta list... Then the waiter came three times and we were still thinking, then when we were done we called the nearest waiter and she told us about the ice-cream deal, you buy one you can get the same one for free or another one which is the same price as the one you're buying. So weilin bought a $6.20 ice-cream and another one at the same price, Vanessa bought her pasta and I bought mine(the cheapest if not we won't be able to pay for it). Kind of pathetic the way I'm saying this. So next comes the crazy part. How Vanessa lost her dignity: ask if the water they give is free or not (if the water is not we can't pay for it LOL)
How I lost my dignity: I took the pecan nut from the ice-cream and licked it infront of two waiters (and she was saying I'll throw away my dignity in the next hour, she was right) and I fought over the ice-cream with my sister. Well, at first when Vanessa took a scoop from the cup, she looked at the melted stuff (a little ice-cream, whipped cream, some chocolate syrup and MILO powder) and then when she dump it into her mouth she said "Wow, it really is milo powder" I was like "really!" and I grab a spoonful from the cup and it really is, then suddenly my sister also want the milo powder then we just fought over the whole cup of ice-cream... To be precise we fought over MILO POWDER! LOL! super gay.
How my sister lost her dignity: Ask if the fried stick of spagetti (it looks fried) if it is edible or not, lol, it was on top of our pasta dish, at first we thought it wa sonly decoration until my sister pops a little into her mouth and ate it, to confirm her theory if it's edible she asked the waiter and it is. The second time is when she fought over the milo powder with me.
Ya that's all, by thw way during these events the waiters did giggle at us. Okay, after eating comes the bill, we calculated $31 but the bill was like $33! WE were like "OMG! SO EXPENSIVE!" then we were like desperately searching for money, and we kept re-counting our money but somehow we only get $32.25 LOL someone mis-counted time after time but we were panicky so we were not in the right-state of mind, we lacked 75cents. Vanessa mention that she thinks the waiters know we lack money because of how desperately we were searching through our bags looking for money when we know there won't be any money! LOL! Then under pressure we were also laughing like heck! Then finally we accepted the fact that we lacked 75CENTS and Vanessa told the waiter we lacked 75cents then he was like "35cents?" Vanessa was whispering cause it's very embarassing and when he said that we were even more embarassed! I corrected him by saying "er... 75cents." and well I throw away more of my dignity. And we left so hurriedly that we didn't take the bill, OMG we threw away so much dignity in a day!
Sigh... This was like the most embarassing moment in my life. Ah well, Vanessa owe me $14.60 and her brother $10, when we were seated down my sister said "If the bill over shoot you'll be responsible for it." and she sort of agreed, I mean she said "It won't overshoot de la." It really did! This kind of coincidence is like heck!
